Through a series of posts on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Wednesday, Trump reiterated his long-standing views on the importance of these areas to the United States.
“Merry Christmas to all, including the wonderful Chinese soldiers who lovingly but illegally operated the Panama Canal (where we lost 38,000 people building it 110 years ago). Dollars in “repair” money, but absolutely nothing to say about “something”. ,” Trump wrote.
Trump added, “Even (Merry Christmas) to Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, whose citizen taxes are very high, but if Canada were to become our 51st state, their taxes would be cut by over 60%, their businesses would double in size immediately, And they will be as militarily protected as any other country in the world.”
Of Greenland, he said, “Likewise, to the people of Greenland, which the United States needs for national security purposes and who want America to be there, and we will!”
Trump also hit out at his political opponents, saying, “Merry Christmas to the radical leftist lunatics who constantly obstruct our court system and our elections and always go after the great citizens and patriots of America. In particular, their political opponents, I know their only chance to survive is a 37 of the most violent criminals, who murdered, raped and robbed like they had never done before, but Sleepy Joe Biden just pardoned me. I refuse to wish the “spirit” a Merry Christmas, it will say, “Go to hell!”
“We just had the greatest election in our country’s history, now a bright light shines on the United States of America and, in 26 days, we make America great again. Merry Christmas!” Trump added.
Earlier, Trump’s son Eric Trump fueled speculation by posting a meme showing Trump buying canals in Canada, Greenland and Panama, saying, “We’re way back!!!”
Trump has long expressed interest in Greenland, saying its ownership is essential to “national security and freedom around the world.”
He also referred to the Panama Canal as “an important national asset for the United States because of its critical role in the economy and national security of the United States.”
Trump also mocked Canada, saying the country should consider becoming the 51st state of the United States because the move would benefit Canadians through lower taxes and military protection.
