The AP High Court has released the five accused in the Paritala Ravindra murder case on bail

Anantapur: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday granted bail to five people serving life imprisonment for their involvement in the murder of former minister Paritala Ravindra. All the five convicts sentenced by the Anantapur District Sessions Court have been in judicial custody for the past 18 years.

According to sources, the accused are Panduga Narayan Reddy (A-3), Rekhamayya (A-4), Ranganaikullu (A-5), Vadde Konda (A-6), and Obi Reddy (A-8). The main accused Maddelecheruvu Suri alias Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy was killed by his close aide Bhanu while another accused Moddu Srinu was killed by a fellow inmate in the Anantapur District Jail.
Paritala Ravindra was shot dead on January 24, 2005 at the Telugu Desam office in Ramnagar, Anantapur. The decades-long factional feud between the Paritala and Gangula families has claimed the lives of many, including family heads from both sides. The violent rivalry, which spanned more than three decades, extended to Hyderabad and included the use of explosives such as TV bombs, car bombs and ice cream bombs, resulting in the deaths of innocent people.

After serving 18 years in prison, the five convicts of the Paritala Ravindra murder case have been released on bail by the High Court.
