The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has announced that the preparations for the District Conference of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) to be held in Kanhangarh from February 5 to 7, 2025 as part of the 23rd Party Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) are in full swing. is (CPI(M)) District Secretary MV Balakrishnan.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Balakrishnan outlined the programme, which will be attended by key leaders including state and central committee members. He said that the conference was completed after the success of 1,959 branch conferences, 143 local conferences and 12 regional conferences in the district. Highlighting the CPI(M)’s achievements, Mr. Balakrishnan noted the success of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the recent elections, including gaining control of Zilla Panchayats and wider representation in local bodies except Kumbadaje.
As part of the preparations, Flag Day will be celebrated on January 15 and flags will be hoisted at party offices and homes on January 13. The conference will feature historical reminiscences, district-level seminars, art and sports competitions and thematic discussions. As gender justice, knowledge economy and communalism.
Other programs include a district-wide waste management campaign on January 25 and 26, public cleanliness and a history exhibition starting on January 7.
