Yadgir Fort is going to be built at a cost of 100 crores

The Karnataka government plans to develop the historic fort in the middle of Yadgir old town under the ‘One District, One Place’ project at a cost of Rs 100 crore, MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur said.

Mr. Channareddy said that after Tourism Minister HK Patil’s recent visit, the department has taken initiatives to develop the fort. Hindu.

As the tourism department has already prepared the blueprint of the project, the historical fort will be developed under ‘One District, One Place’ at a cost of Rs 100 crore. “Of the required budget, ₹ 33 crore will be provided under the MLA grant, and the remaining ₹ 67 crore will be provided by the Karnataka government,” he said.

The project has been started with the aim of promoting tourism in the district.

Another project is the construction of a ropeway to the Mailarlingeshwar temple in Melpur village, which also attracts devotees from Karnataka and the neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra.

The project was approved in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Kalaburgi. During the winter session of the Legislature in Belagavi, the Karnataka Tourism Ropeway Bill, 2024 was passed, which facilitates the construction of 15 ropeways in the state, including the Mylarlingeshwar temple in Mylapore.

Mr. Tunnur said that the government will start the work after conducting a technical survey by an expert.
