CM Abdullah expressed grief over the death of five soldiers in the Punchh army vehicle accident

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday (December 24, 2024) expressed deep grief and heartfelt condolences over the death of five soldiers in a road accident near the forward post along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

An army vehicle, which was going from Neelam headquarters to Balnoi Ghora post, crossed the road near Ghora post and fell into a 300-feet deep ditch.

The unfortunate incident claimed the lives of five soldiers and injured several others, an official spokesperson said.

A rapid response team immediately started rescue operations at the spot.

The Chief Minister expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the soldiers, the spokesperson said.

Mr. Abdullah also wished for the speedy recovery of the soldiers injured in the accident.
