Gujarat: Class 12 medical students can now appear after Maths exam Ahmedabad news

Among the many changes introduced in the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) rules, a new provision has been introduced for Class 12 students of the medical stream from the next session. They can appear for the Mathematics examination as a private student in the supplementary examination or in the main examination of the next year.

The notification issued by GSHSEB on Tuesday highlighted the amendments implemented for Class 11 and 12 science streams (medical and non-medical). If a student of Class 12 fails to pass Group B (Medical), he can re-appear in Group A (Non-Medical) or Group AB (Both Medical and Non-Medical) as per the new rules.

Also, a student who passes Class 11 Science Stream Group A or Group B or Group AB can choose any of these groups in Class 12.

Amendments to the GSHSEB 2005 rules have been implemented to encourage students to take up science streams in classes 11 and 12, as the number of such students has been declining in the state.
