West Delhi, Gurgaon: Dead bodies of man and woman found in hotel room and railway tracks; Police suspect murder-suicide Delhi News

The bodies of a man and a woman were found on a railway track in Gurgaon’s Pataudi and in a hotel room in West Delhi’s Paschim Vihar – a day apart, police said.

Although the exact cause of the woman’s death has not been revealed, the police say that the person killed her at first sight and then committed suicide on the railway track. Necessary investigation is being done on them.

According to the police, the beautician Kajal left her house in Rajpark on the evening of 14th January. “A missing complaint was registered at the Raj Park police station on December 16 and her body was found the next day from a hotel in Paschim Paschim Vihar. A post-mortem has been conducted and the report is pending. All legal procedures were followed and the case is being probed,” said Additional DCP (Outer) Amit Verma.

A man named Surendra (36) ran a small eatery in Jodhpur where he lived with his wife and children.

So far, it has been revealed that Kajal left home with a female friend, police said. At midnight on December 14, Surendra checked into the hotel where he had booked a room. After some time, Kajal came. Police said they went to a club in Punjabi Bagh and returned to the hotel.

His body was found on the railway tracks after Surendra left the hotel at 7 am on December 16. According to the CCTV footage, no one entered the room after Surendra left.

Kajal’s body was found on December 17 when the hotel staff informed the police when she did not open the door. Police said there were no external injuries or strangulation marks on the body.

Officials said Kajal was previously married and lived in Jabalpur where Surendra worked. That’s where they met and became close, they claimed.

Kajal’s brother Manish claimed that the police have not yet given an explanation as to how she died.

“One of her friends… called her that evening and asked Kajal to meet her outside the house… She was with a man… We had never seen her before…,” he added.

“Kajal left home around 7-7.30… She asked mom to make tea and would be back in a while.”

The family didn’t hear from him until the police called three days later.

Manish said that he divorced Kajal four years ago and he has a seven-year-old child.

He said that his sister’s body was handed over to the family at the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Mangolpuri on December 17.
