Donald Trump Appoints Former a16z Partner Sriram Krishnan as White House AI Advisor

US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed former Andreessen Horowitz partner Sriram Krishnan as senior policy advisor for artificial intelligence at the White House.

“Sriram Krishnan will serve as Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy,” Trump said in a post on social media platform X.

He added, “Working closely with David Sachs, Shriram will focus on ensuring continued U.S. leadership in AI, and help shape and coordinate AI policy across government, including working with the President’s Advisory Council on Science and Technology.”

Krishnan has previously worked at Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter and Snap. The former partner at Andreessen Horowitz left the venture capital firm after four years.

“I am honored to be able to serve our country and work with David Sachs to ensure continued American leadership in AI,” Krishnan said in a post on X.
