A person who was seriously injured in a road accident on Tuesday (December 24) died during treatment on Wednesday (December 25) night.
The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Venkat Reddy, a software worker. He was riding a motorcycle when the accident happened.
On Tuesday (December 24, 2024) afternoon, 19-year-old BBA student Y.Y. Srikalash has been arrested by the police.
Shivani, a 21-year-old B.Tech student of Chaitanya Bharti Institute of Technology (CBIT), died on the spot while riding behind with Venkat.
According to Inspector C. Venkanna of Raidurgam, both of them were riding on the service road from Raidurgam towards Narsingi. “Shrikalash, in his sedan at a speed of around 100 km per hour, drove recklessly and hit the bike,” the officer said. After post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family for last rites. Investigation is going on.
