Security forces have recovered 3.6 kg of explosives from Churachandpur in Manipur

Security forces recovered 3.6 kg of explosives from under a bridge in Manipur’s Churachandpur district, the army said on Wednesday (December 25, 2024).

In a joint operation, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police recovered explosives from Lesang village on Imphal-Churachandpur road.

In a post on X, Spear Corps said, “General area Lesang village, Churachandpur district, #Manipur, #AssamRifles formation under #SpearCorps and @manipur_police conducted a joint search operation and recovered 3.6 kg explosives, detonators, cordtex and other items under the bridge. Imphal-Churachandpur route.

It is said that a bomb squad has been deployed to dispose of the bomb.

According to the police, on Tuesday, the security personnel recovered one loaded gun with one M-16 magazine, four SBBL country guns, one revolver and bullets from Moljol village in Churachandpur district.
