SBI Clerk 2024: Selection Process
The selection process consists of an online test conducted in two stages – preliminary and mains – along with a test in the chosen local language.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
The preliminary examination will be an online objective examination for a total of 100 marks with a duration of 1 hour. The exam will have three sections as detailed below:
Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 1-hour duration.
As mentioned, each section will have a specific time limit. Penalty for wrong answer – 1/4th of the marks allotted in the question will be deducted for each wrong answer. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual sections or the overall score, and section-wise marks will not be recorded.
Phase-2: Mains Exam
Mains Exam will be conducted online with the following structure:
Total: 190 Questions, 200 Marks, Duration 2 Hours 40 Minutes.
As stated each section will have its own time allocation. Negative marking will be applicable in the objective test — 1/4th of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates should obtain minimum qualifying percentage marks.
