Visakhapatnam:A comprehensive 40-hour mediation training program for judicial officers of four coastal Andhra districts began on Monday at the new 10 court complex in Visakhapatnam.
The intensive training program from December 16 to December 20 marks an important initiative to enhance ADR skills among judges from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari districts.
M. Eminent legal persons including Nageswara Rao, 4th Additional District and Sessions Judge and Gandham Sunitha, Chief District and Sessions Judge, Ex-Godavari, inaugurated the training session.
The resource persons for the program are Nagina Jain and Neena Khare, both trainers of the Supreme Court Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC), New Delhi. Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax Appellate Tribunal Chairman G Gopi participated in the inaugural session.
The aim of the training is to provide judges with advanced mediation skills focusing on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms that can help provide more effective justice delivery mechanisms and reduce court backlogs.
