In a strange turn of events in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, a newly wedded bride’s shocking demands on her wedding night led to a fight between families and eventually to the police station. The incident happened when the bride asked her husband for beer, ganja and goat meat during the traditional ‘Mu Dekhai’ ceremony on the first night of the couple.
Surprised at first, the bridegroom agreed to fulfill his demand for beer, but things escalated when the bridegroom also asked for ganja and goat meat. Feeling uncomfortable, the husband informed the family about the strange demand. The groom’s side decided to intervene with the police after not being able to tolerate the request of the drunkard.
The incident was brought to the police station, where both families were counselled. Neither party filed an official complaint, but the groom’s family made serious allegations, claiming that the bride was not a woman but a third gender. This statement further complicated the situation, leading to initial disagreements at the station.
It is said that after some discussion, the husband’s family planned to solve the problem secretly at home and both parties left the police station. Despite the tension, no formal legal action has been taken, and the case appears to be settled within the family.
This unique phenomenon highlights the growing need for greater understanding and respect for family matters, particularly cultural expectations and personal choices. While the bride’s demand surprised many, it remains to be seen how the families will handle this unusual wedding night controversy.
