A few days ago, I ran into a problem with my Airtel DTH which I realized many people might face. I needed to recharge my Airtel DTH account, but I could not remember the customer ID and registered mobile number. This wasn’t the first time I’d misplaced this information, and I knew it wouldn’t be the last.
After spending almost an hour going through Airtel’s old text messages, emails sent by Airtel regarding my DTH account, Airtel’s old text messages and Airtel website, I finally found the details. This experience made me think about how often these small but important pieces of information are lost.
So, I decided to write this article to make it easier for others who may find themselves in the same situation. Here is a complete guide to help you find Airtel DTH Customer ID and Number quickly and easily.
Method 1: Search Airtel DTH Customer ID using menu button
This is the easiest and fastest method to find Airtel DTH Customer ID. For this method, just open your Airtel DTH setup box and television and follow these steps:
- It is the very first step Press the Menu button on your Airtel DTH remote. On my television, I am able to see the subscriber ID and registered mobile number on the bottom line of the menu screen as shown in the following figure.
- If yours doesn’t show up on this screen, that’s it Select the My Account menu option And it will display all information related to your Airtel DTH account including customer ID, registered phone number, account balance, monthly fare, last recharge date, etc.
Thus you can find your Airtel DTH subscriber ID using the menu button of your Airtel DTH remote control.
Method 2: Find Airtel DTH Customer ID or Number using Selfcare Channel 999
Channel number 999 is a special channel created by Airtel for its customers to perform multiple tasks from one place. In this self-care channel number, you can find information about your account details like subscriber ID and registered mobile number, add channels to your plan, recharge, update your registered mobile number, personalize your plan, etc.
Here’s how you can easily get your Airtel DTH subscriber ID from Channel 999:
- Open channel number 999 using your Airtel DTH remote.
- The channel will load the SelfCare page with all the account details like customer ID and mobile number registered in the region. If you still cannot find your Customer ID on this page, press the Account Details button shown in the following image using the Left/Right/Up/Down keys on your remote. Account details page will show your Airtel DTH customer ID.

Method 3: Find your Customer ID by sending an SMS to Airtel
For the two methods mentioned above, you need to be near your TV to find your Airtel DTH subscriber ID. So I have come up with a third method. In this method, you don’t need to be near your television. Here’s how to find Airtel DTH subscriber ID by sending an SMS:
- Open the text messaging app on your smartphone.
- Send a message to 54325 by typing ‘BAL’ in the message box from your registered mobile number.
- You will soon get your DTH balance reply along with your customer ID.
So, this way you can find out your customer ID by sending SMS to Airtel. But, for this method, it is mandatory to know which mobile number you have registered with Airtel DTH because it only hacks on the registered number.
