At least 21 cybercriminals arrested for defrauding Rs 125 crore across the country

21 cybercriminals have been arrested here for cheating hundreds of people in different parts of the country. They are accused of defrauding them of Rs 125 crore, the Gurugram Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Police said on Monday (December 23, 2024).

All the accused were arrested in November and December after reviewing data from the Indian Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Crime Coordination Center (I4C), said ACP (cyber) Priyanshu Dewan.

The police recovered 16 mobile phones and seven SIM cards from them.

It is alleged that they cheated by posing as fake officers of the courier company.

ACP said further investigation is being done on this matter.
