To check the veracity of the claim, the PTI fact-checking desk conducted a reverse image search of the viral photo using Google Lens. The team found the original image in a report published on a news website on December 17, 2024. Reports said that Priyanka Gandhi came to Parliament on December 17 with a handbag that read “Stand with Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh”. Priyanka Gandhi also shared a picture with a handbag on her social media handle.
