An Air India flight made an emergency landing at RGIA

Hyderabad: Passengers traveling on an Air India flight from Chennai to Pune had a tense moment after it made an emergency landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad here on Saturday.

Minutes after taking off from Chennai, the aircraft developed technical problems prompting the crew to make an emergency landing at RGIA. The crew sought clearance from Air Traffic Control (ATC) at RGIA.

After receiving information from the crew about the emergency landing, the airport authorities put in place the necessary safety protocols for the safe landing of the flight. After getting clearance from ATC, the flight landed safely at RGIA bringing much needed relief to the passengers. However, airport officials said that they were unaware of any such incident at RGIA.
