A class 7 student was bitten by a snake in the classroom, the Kerala government has ordered an inquiry

Pathanamthitta: In Neyyatinkara, near Kerala, a class 7 student was reportedly bitten by a venomous snake inside the classroom on Friday.

The incident took place during the Christmas celebration in the upper primary school.

The student was taken to a nearby government hospital and her condition is now stable, PTI reported.

After the incident, the Kerala government ordered an inquiry into the matter on Saturday.

General Education Minister V Shivankutty said that the Director of General Education has been directed to investigate the incident and submit a report at the earliest.
