All municipalities in Karnataka will follow the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) model to issue land certificates to A Khata and B Khata land owners, municipal administration and Haj Rahim Khan said in Belagavi on December 17.
He was replying to a question of Chidananda Gowda, a member of the Legislative Council.
Mr. Khan admitted that there were many complaints from site owners who wanted to build houses or those who wanted to buy sites to build houses about delays in getting their land registered or issued certificates.
“We have given strict instructions to the authorities to complete the process within seven days. We also ask them to follow the BBMP model of issuing A account and B account certificates,” the minister said.
