In a series of posts on X, PM Modi said that the Congress was in power for years but did nothing to empower the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.
“In Parliament Amit Shah ji exposed Congress’ dark history of insulting Dr Ambedkar and neglecting SC/ST communities. They are clearly shocked and appalled by the facts presented by them, hence they are now indulging in drama! Sadly, for this. To them, People know the truth Congress can try all they want but they can’t deny the worst genocide against SC/ST communities!Their regimes stayed in power for years but Nothing has been done to empower Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes,” said PM Modi.
The Prime Minister listed the “sins of the Congress” towards Babasaheb Ambedkar. “The Congress’ list of sins against Dr. Ambedkar includes- defeating him not once but twice in elections. Pandit Nehru campaigning against him and making his defeat a prestige issue. Denying him the Bharat Ratna. Denying his portrait, pride of place. In the central hall of Parliament ,’ he said.
PM Modi also said that people of the country have seen time and time again how one party has indulged in every “dirty trick” to erase Ambedkar’s legacy.
“If the Congress and its rotten ecosystem think that their malicious lies can cover up their years of misdeeds, especially their contempt for Dr Ambedkar, they are gravely mistaken! The people of India have seen again and again how one party, led by a dynasty, can erase Dr Ambedkar’s legacy and Communities have been involved in every possible dirty trick to humiliate the Scheduled Castes/Tribes,” the Prime Minister said.
Further, PM Modi emphasized his government’s work to fulfill the legacy of BR Ambedkar.
“Our government has worked to develop Panchatirtha, five iconic places associated with Dr Ambedkar. The land issue for Chaityabhoomi was pending for decades. Our government not only solved the problem, I have also gone there to pray. We have also developed 26, Alipore Road in Delhi. , the house where Dr Ambedkar lived in London for his last years has also been acquired by the government,” he said.
“When it comes to Dr Ambedkar, our respect and honor is absolute. It is because of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar that we are what we are,” added PM Modi.
He also emphasized that his government has worked tirelessly to fulfill Babasaheb Ambedkar’s dream in the last decade. “Take any sector – lifting 25 crore people out of poverty, strengthening the SC/ST Act, flagship programs of our government like Swachh Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ujjwala Yojana and more, each of them has touched the lives of the poor and marginalised, ” he said.

This comes after Amit Shah lashed out at the Congress party and said that naming Ambedkar’s name has become a ‘fashion’ for the party.
“If they had taken God’s name many times instead of Ambedkar, they would have got heaven for seven lives,” said Shah.
