A partially decomposed body of a woman from Andhra Pradesh was received in the parcel

A partially decomposed body was found in the parcel of a woman who ordered electrical materials for an under-construction house at her house in Yandgandi village of West Godavari district.

Ms. Tulsi requested a philanthropist to help build a house on a piece of land in the village. She had earlier received two parcels containing painting materials and tiles in September.

“The wooden box parcel addressed to Tulsi of Undi Mandal arrived late on Thursday night. After finding the body of the man wrapped in a plastic cover, the family members panicked and informed the police,” said West Godavari District Superintendent of Police (SP) Adnan Naeem Asmi, who reached the spot.

“The body was partially decomposed and the victim was about 45 years old. We have sent the body to Bhimavaram Government Hospital mortuary for post-mortem,” said Mr. Adnan Naeem. Hindu Friday.

In a handwritten note found in the parcel, the miscreants demanded Rs 1.36 crore and warned of dire consequences if the amount was not paid.

The police are trying to find more details about the identity of the body, the accused who sent it in the parcel, the reason for the act, why the family was targeted, the SP said. A special team has been formed to investigate the incident.
