Till 2027, matches between India and Pakistan will be played at neutral venues

Karachi: India will play next year’s Champions Trophy matches on neutral grounds after tournament host and arch-rival Pakistan refused to visit, the International Cricket Council said on Thursday after weeks of wrangling.

“India and Pakistan matches hosted by either country at ICC events in the 2024-2027 jurisdiction cycle will be played at neutral venues, the ICC Board has confirmed,” an ICC statement said.

“This will apply to the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 (hosted by Pakistan).”
