Union minister CR Patil blames previous governments for India’s unemployment crisis: ‘If only they had done everything right in the last 70 years…’ | India news

Blaming previous governments for the unemployment situation in the country, Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil on Thursday said that if they had done everything right in the last 70 years, the Narendra Modi government would not have had to try to solve the problem.

In response to a question about the government’s failure to provide employment to the youth, Patil said,What happened in the first 70 years that even today they are unemployed. What is the situation today, if these things had been done 70 years ago, if they had been done correctly, then the Modi government would not have to try to solve this problem.. (What did they do in the first 70 years that people are unemployed even today? Regardless of the situation today, if everything had been done well in 70 years, the Modi government would not have taken initiatives to solve it? Problem).”

Patil said the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has been providing 80 crore people with 5 kg of food per person per month for free. “That wasn’t even necessary. It shows what he has done for the country,” he said.

“They should answer this. Even after ruling the country for 70 years, why is this situation happening, they should also answer this?” asked Patil.

Discussing the NDA government’s poverty alleviation efforts, Patil noted that the Modi government has been in power for just 10 years and has successfully lifted 250 million people out of poverty. He noted that many countries, including the United States, praised India for this achievement and noted that it was remarkable for any nation to lift such a large number of people out of poverty.

Asked whether the government would consider extending the deadline for Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Patil replied that 15 crore households in rural areas have been provided with water connections under JJM. He said that efforts are being made to connect the remaining 40 million households.
