Hyderabad: The police have arrested a couple on the charge of killing an auto driver by honey trapping in March 2023. The couple killed the driver for allegedly trying to kidnap and beat up their daughter.
According to the details of the incident, the husband and wife of Jagadagirigutta planned to arrest 30-year-old auto driver Kumar of Nizamapet. It is alleged that the couple’s daughter (7) was abducted by the auto driver and taken to a room in Yusufguda and tried to beat her up. He managed to escape and was later found by the police. During interrogation, the police said that he was an orphan and was sent to a special home. Meanwhile, the couple searched for their daughter but could not find her.
The parents later checked their daughter’s laptop, which was purchased during the COVID period for online classes. They found a Snapchat contact linked to auto driver Kumar and suspected him of kidnapping. The couple created a Snapchat ID and created a trap for her. They agreed to meet him in Madhpur, where they talked about their daughter. When Kumar claimed that his daughter had run away, they attacked him.
They then took him to Suryapet and threw his stone-bound body into the Nagarjunasagar left canal. It is mentioned in the complaint filed by his family in Boraband that Kumar is missing. Later, when the daughter met her parents, she came to know that the auto car driven by Kumar was being used by the driver. Kumar’s relatives approached the police after recognizing the vehicle.
