Hyderabad: BJP Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind requested Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to provide 20 acres of land for setting up Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Nizamabad and Jagtial districts, which was recently approved by the central government.
Arvind, along with MLA from Jagatial Dr Sanjay Kumar met the Chief Minister at his residence on Sunday and brought to his notice the proposed sites in the two districts.
He also told about the road over bridge (ROB) works being done at Madhav Nagar near Nizamabad with 50:50 central and state funds. The ROB near Adivi Mamidipalli was fully funded by the Center but the money was withdrawn by the previous BRS administration, Arvind said.
The BJP MP also pointed out that contractors were facing a tough time due to inordinate delays in clearing their bills. He requested the Chief Minister to complete all the work on time.
The BJP leader sought early completion of the boundary survey and submission of its findings to the Center on the obstacles to carrying out works related to the Jakranpalli greenfield airport. Later, the MP said that Revanth Reddy responded positively to their request.
