Pawar dialed CM, asked him to take incidents in Beed, Parbhani seriously Pune news

NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar said he had a telephone conversation with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis after the death of a person on Sunday. Violence in Parbhani and killing of a sarpanch in Beed.

This comes a day after Pawar met the family of deceased sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh and Somnath Suryavanshi, who died in judicial custody after being arrested in Parbhani violence.

“Today I spoke to the Chief Minister about the Beed and Parbhani incidents that happened yesterday. I have told him that the situation is serious and asked him to look into the issue,” the NCP (SP) chief said in Pune, where he was present at the Bhimthadi Jatra of the Agricultural College.

Pawar said he has also extended an invitation to the Chief Minister for the 98th All India Marathi Literary Conference to be held in New Delhi next month.

During his visit to Beed on Saturday, Pawar had said that he would take the educational responsibility of the sarpanch’s children. In Parbhani, he has demanded a thorough investigation into the death of Somnath Suryavanshi.

Many villagers of Beed, Solapur and Baramati have demanded the resignation of Minister Dhananjaya Munde and have alleged the involvement of his close friend in Sarpach’s murder.

The protest in Parbhani turned violent last week after the replica of the constitution was vandalized and Suryavanshi, who was arrested in this connection, died in judicial custody.

Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh of Masajog Rural Municipality of Beed was abducted and killed on 9th of December.
