The “boiling water ice challenge” is a viral trend in which people throw boiling water at freezing temperatures into the air. The intense cold causes the water to evaporate rapidly, quickly turning into a cloud of ice crystals. This visual trend has gained massive popularity on social media platforms. However, the tendency can be fatal and cause serious injuries.
A woman recently suffered second-degree burns after a viral trend failed miserably. Sharing a video of the incident, Daily Star reported that the woman ended up in hospital. The caption written in the video says, ‘The woman who came went to the hospital to treat the fire.
The video shows an outdoor scene covered in ice. Moments later, the woman enters the frame holding a kettle. She poses for the camera before trying out the viral trend. However, instead of the boiling water turning into mist, some of it returns to it. She fell to the floor in obvious pain.

Many users criticized the woman, with one comment saying, “The main reason for this disaster, she used a water boiler that we can see. Others used a flask, which has a narrow mouth.” Another user wrote, “Om, what a stupid idiot. person.”
“Why would you try again? Once is a mistake. Twice is just plain stupid!!” Another user feedback.
According to a Newsweek report, more people were hospitalized in Canada during the winter of 2019. Arthur Sanford, a burn surgeon at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, said he had seen seven patients with skin burns, one of whom was only three years old.
