TN Government introduces hamper provisions with 20 items at subsidized rates at Amudham outlets

The Tamil Nadu government has introduced a provision hamper containing 20 items to be sold through Amudham departmental stores at a cost of ₹ 999 per unit. Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation’s hamper is aimed at meeting the needs of the beneficiaries keeping in mind the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister R Sakkarapani inaugurated the provision hamper at Amudham branch in Anna Nagar, Chennai on Wednesday. These hampers will be made available at Amudham Makkal branches in Gopalpuram and Anna Nagar, an official release said.

J Radhakrishnan, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Food and Consumer Protection and Deputy Mayor M Mahesh Kumar among others were present.
