To the mood: Officials said that the forest department has ordered an inquiry into the death of a tigress found dead in the forest at Mudhum in Nilgiri district.
They said that the cause of the dog’s death will be revealed only after the post-mortem.
After the forest department’s field staff found the big cat dead during patrolling, higher officials were alerted.
Subsequently, an inquiry was ordered and a post-mortem would be conducted in the presence of an expert team to ascertain the cause of the tiger’s death, they said.
