In another incident related to the tribal community in Kerala’s Wayanad, the body of an 80-year-old woman had to be taken to the graveyard in an auto-rickshaw on Monday after an ambulance failed to arrive.

According to Idawa village panchayat president Ahmad Kutty, the woman Chundamma died on Sunday night and her family has decided to bury her at 2 pm on Monday. “They … waited for the ambulance till 4 am. As the ambulance was not available, the family took the body in an autorickshaw to the graveyard, 3.5 km away,” he said.
