Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to former BRS MLA Patnam Narendra Reddy, in an offense registered at Bomraspet police station in Vikravada district, following last month’s Lagcharla row where the Vikravada collector was assaulted.
The police have registered several FIRs after the attack on the government official during the public hearing held for the acquisition of land for the ‘Pharma Village’ project proposed by the government.
In some of them, Narendra Reddy was named as an accused. After his arrest, Narendra Reddy filed various petitions in the High Court seeking directions to combine several FIRs and seeking bail in case of his arrest in other cases.
Narendra Reddy was granted bail by the Nampally Magistrate Court in an FIR. In another FIR, the High Court granted anticipatory bail on Monday.
