The goal of a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir will be achieved soon: Amit Shah India news

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the first such meeting in the union territory since the assembly elections there in September-October. Before the review meeting, he met J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

J&K Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary, Director (IB), RAW Chief, Army Chief, GOC-in-C (Northern Command), DGMO, Chief Secretary and DGP of J&K, Heads of CAPF and MHA other senior officials. Participated in the review meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Shah said, “As per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy against terrorism, we will achieve the goal of ‘terror-free Jammu and Kashmir’ at the earliest and all resources available for this.” The Modi government, with the combined efforts of all security forces, is committed to establishing complete dominance over terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Shah said that the unprecedented turnout in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections shows that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have full faith in the country’s democracy.
