Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS executive president KT Rama Rao on Thursday announced that she will face the ACB case regarding the conduct of the Formula E car race in Hyderabad, adding that “ACB has no right to be part of this investigation. Because there is no corruption. However, we are legal and We will deal with it politically.
Addressing a press conference, Rama Rao alleged that the government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was hiding a lot of information about the entire issue of the canceled Formula E race in Hyderabad.
“Rs 55 crore paid to Formula E on the instructions of IAS officer Arvind Kumar from the FMDA account was legally sent in two installments, and the money was with Formula E. The government has not said anything about about 74 lakhs. The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India is requesting to withdraw the license fee for the event,’ he said.
“We paid the money, they said they got the money. The license fee is ready to be refunded. The government is hiding all this. There is no corruption. This is a cheap effort by the Revanth Reddy government. That’s why I said we should discuss it in the assembly but Revant Reddy doesn’t have the guts to do that,” Rama Rao said.
