Six passengers of an APSRTC bus were injured when a bus hit a lorry in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district.

At least six passengers of an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus were injured on Monday (December 23, 2024) when it hit a lorry near Arikatoa in Ramabhadrapuram mandal of Vizianagaram district.

According to the locals, the bus coming from Vizianagaram hit the back of the lorry. The front seat passenger was injured. Other passengers struggled to get them off the bus. Later they were shifted to a nearby hospital.

The bus driver said that the accident happened due to low visibility and sudden braking by the lorry driver. After the incident, the remaining passengers of the bus were transferred to other buses.
