After Sonakshi Sinha, her father and actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has answered Mukesh Khanna’s question about her upbringing. In a recent interview, Sonakshi expressed her disappointment over Mukesh not being able to answer a question about Lord Hanuman on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) in 2019. After his video went viral, Sonakshi criticized him in an open letter on social media. Now his father Shatrughan has also broken his silence on this issue.
Reacting to Mukesh’s statement, Shatrughan told Bollywood Hungama, “I think someone has a problem with Sonakshi not answering questions on Ramayana. First of all what qualifies this person to be an expert in everything related to Ramayana? And who appointed him as the guardian of Hinduism?”
Defending his daughter Sonakshi, the actor said that answering a question about the Ramayana does not make him a bad Hindu. “I am very proud of all three of my children. Sonakshi became a star on her own. I never had to start her career. She is a daughter any father would be proud of. Answering the questions asked in the Ramayana does not disqualify Sonakshi from being a good Hindu. He doesn’t need anyone’s approval certificate.

Reacting to Mukesh Khanna’s comments, Sonakshi Sinha shared a note on social media defending her father Shatrughan Sinha. She wrote, “Dear Sir, Mukesh Khanna Ji… I recently read a statement you made that it was my father’s fault that I did not answer a question about the Ramayana correctly in a program I attended many years ago. First of all I want to remind you that there were two women in the hot seat that day who didn’t know the answer to the same question, but you chose to only take my name, for obvious reasons.
The note further read, “Yes, I may have blanked out on human instincts that day, and may have forgotten who the Sanjivani booti was brought for, but apparently, you also forgot the lessons of forgiveness and forgetting taught by Lord Rama himself. . If Lord Rama If you can forgive Manthara, you can forgive Kaikeyi, if you can forgive Ravana after the war, you can definitely leave this very small matter behind. In an interview with News9, Mukesh Khanna also responded to Sonakshi Sinha’s note and said, “I am surprised that she took so long to respond. I knew I was contradicting him by taking his name from that incident in the famous Kaun Banega Crorepati show. But I had no malicious intention to malign him or his father who is my senior and with whom I have a very cordial relationship. “
He added, “My aim was to react to today’s generation, called ‘Genz’ by elders, who have become slaves to today’s Google world and mobile phones.
