Actor Shahid Kapoor and filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj are all set to collaborate again for an action thriller, it was announced on Wednesday. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, this film will release next year.
The reunion of Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj is especially exciting, as their previous collaborations have yielded critically acclaimed films like Haider and Kaminey that blend strong narratives with effective performances.
The untitled film, which has an impressive cast including Tripti Dimri, Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda, is expected to be a commercial entertainer. Scheduled for release on December 5, 2025, the shooting will begin from January 6.

The makers announced on X, “Sajid Nadiadwala presents Vishal Bharadwaj’s film! A spectacular cinematic journey begins on 6th January 2025. The film will release on 5th December 2025.
The film is said to be based on the life of gangster Hussain Ustara. Earlier, the filmmaker wanted to make a biopic of gangster Sapna Didi with Deepika Padukone and also cast late Irrfan Khan in the role of Hussain. The film never materialized.
The film marks Shahid’s reunion with the Haider (2014) director seven years after Rangoon (2017).
