PVR INOX restructures Rs 600 crore media business

Multiplex chain PVR INOX on Monday said it will restructure its Rs 600-crore media business to focus on deepening market connections and driving growth nationwide.

The new team will be headed by S Savarwal, Chief Sales Officer, PVR INOX, who has been with the company for 26 years. Additionally, the new structure will see the regional heads lead efforts in their respective markets, with new appointees in leadership roles such as Saurabh Bhambri and Triptika Chauhan, who were previously at Paytm.

By bringing in industry experts and focusing on key areas like data-driven decision making and sponsorship opportunities, we are positioning PVR INOX as a leading force in the media business,” said Gautam Dutt, CEO- Revenue & Operations, PVR INOX.

The company added that it plans to leverage data analytics to improve operational efficiency and is looking to outsource key markets. It will also double down on online and offline media platforms to expand its visibility.

PVR INOX is looking to tap into new monetization opportunities through sponsorship and naming rights.

In the public market, the company’s shares are trading normally at Rs 1,345 till 12:30 noon on Monday.

The restructuring comes after the company reported its third straight quarterly loss in the second quarter of FY25 amid sluggish movie openings and rising demand for streaming services.

PVR INOX reported Rs. It posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 11.8 crore against a profit of Rs 166.3 crore in the previous year.
