M. Balakrishnan, program head of Akashvani, Thrissur, passed away on Thursday (December 19, 2024) at his home in Ottapalam, Palakkad, Kerala. He was 58 years old. Family sources said that he died due to a heart attack. He was the former head of Akashvani Manjeri.
He is married to VP Sulabha, former Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Department.
His contribution to Akashvani has been widely appreciated. Balakrishnan started an interactive program with the public on Akashvani in the 1990s.
His wife is Sulabha. The funeral took place at Ivor Madom in Tiruvilwamala on Thursday afternoon.
