Generally reserved and introverted Prabhas The big screen becomes a different animal entirely. But one aspect of his collection that is in the limelight is his script knowledge. While his filmography is a testament to his clarity in script selection, his Salaar director Prashant Neil revealed that Prabhas’s inputs came in handy while scripting Salaar films. In a conversation on the first anniversary of the blockbuster film Salaar, Prashant said that Prabhas’ approach brought about a significant change in Salaar.

“I can’t share the exact details because it’s a feature in the second part. But what I can say is how he changes the way we look at the relationship between Dev (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj Sukumaran),” Prashanth added, “Actually, Prabhas is phenomenal in the drama. He understood that it came from me KGF. So, he doesn’t pay attention to the main moments of the film, but he always looks for drama.
Reflecting on how Salaar started as a standalone film that later became a two-parter, Prashant Neel revealed that Prabhas had a firm understanding of how he wanted the first part to end. “He was particular about Salar’s ending, and how it led to the events of Part 2. He was very particular about that one moment.”
Talking about how all his films are based on human emotions despite the action sets and elevation, Prashant revealed that Salaar 2 will be no different. “It’s the innocence that makes them the best of friends, and it’s the innocence that makes them enemies. That’s the interesting part of the sequel. I’m so excited for the world to see what that moment is that facilitates this change. I think the most of my writing is The good bits are when they have to separate and become enemies. It’s a very emotional part.”

While Salaar revolved around Vardha and Deva’s friendship, the sequel focuses on how these best friends become worst enemies. The film is currently in the pre-production process, and is backed by Homble Films. This is the first deal of three films Prabhas And the banner behind projects like KGF and Kantara.
