Residents of Ghaziabad will soon have an easy way to Kanpur. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) plans to construct a 380 km green field expressway as part of its green highway policy. The four-lane expressway will cross nine districts and cut travel time between the two cities to just 3.5 hours.

The 380 km long expressway will connect Ghaziabad and Kanpur. The project will have a major positive impact on Uttar Pradesh, India’s fourth largest state by area.

According to the media, industrial centers are expected to be established along the route. Although the road will initially have four lanes, it will eventually have six lanes.
