Rohan Mirchandani, co-founder of famous yogurt brand Epigamia, passed away on Saturday due to a heart attack. He was 42.
Senior leadership of Epigamia’s parent company, Drums Food International, confirmed the news in a press release, requesting privacy for his family at this difficult time.
In a joint statement, Ankur Goyal (COO and Founding Member) and Uday Thakkar (Co-Founder and Director) said, “All of us in the Epigamia family are deeply saddened by this loss. Rohan was our mentor, friend and leader. He carried on his dreams with strength and passion. We remain steadfast in our determination to move forward. Rohan’s vision and values will continue to guide us as we work together to honor the foundation he built and ensure his dream continues to thrive.
Epigamia’s board added, “Rohan was not only a visionary leader but also an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His unwavering commitment, boundless energy, and deep passion for Epigamia have left an indelible mark on all of us. We look forward to working with the company’s leadership to further elevate Rohan’s legacy.” We will work.”
Mirchandani’s sudden demise has sent shockwaves through the startup community
An alumnus of NYU Stern and The Wharton School, Mirchandani founded Drums Food International in 2013.
Radhika Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, expressed grief X The heartbreaking post read: “I know it’s heartbreaking to see people in their 40s and 50s lose their lives to heart attacks and stress-related illnesses. It makes you question so many things.”
On August 7 of this year, Ambarish Murthy, the co-founder of Pepperfree, also passed away at the age of 51 due to a heart attack.
Good Capital’s co-founder Rohan Malhotra also passed away earlier this year.
