DMK-led alliance wins over 200 seats: TN CM Stalin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday (December 26, 2024) said that the DMK-led alliance is not just an alliance based on principles but a permanent alliance. He also urged the coalition partners to “stand still”.

“The DMK-led alliance has been going on for seven years and is winning elections,” said veteran Communist Party of India (CPI) leader R. said at a function organized to celebrate the centenary of Nallakannu. “The DMK-led coalition is built in such a way that it wins more than 200 seats,” asserted Mr. Stalin.

On behalf of DMK, he wished Mr. Nallakannu on his 100th birthday. Mr. Nallakannu supported the schemes launched by the Dravida model government that focused on social justice and equality, Mr. Stalin said.

He also noted that Mr. Nallakannu is calm, diplomatic and at the same time deeply analyzes every situation. Mr. Stalin requested him to continue to guide the youth of the state.

On Mr. Nallakannu’s request, the Chief Minister has ordered the Srivaikuntam Government Hospital, where Mr. Nallakannu was born, to upgrade it with CT scan facilities and construct a new building with additional facilities.

Mr. Stalin ordered to name the new building as ‘Comrade Nallakannu Shatabdi Bhavan’, the statement said.
