About DASA Scheme
Launched in 2001, the DASA scheme is aimed at aspirants seeking admission to engineering programs at prestigious National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), SPAs, and other centrally funded and premier technical institutes of the country. For students.
The scheme is applicable to Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin/NRIs/Non-Residents of India for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in premier technical institutions. It is offered under the DASA scheme of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

How to apply for DASA scheme?
Candidates who wish to be admitted under the DASA scheme have to register online, fill the online application form, and pay the fee through SWIFT/E-Payment/NEFT/RTGS transfer on or before the deadline mentioned in the schedule on the DASA website. Further, online application and documents should be uploaded on DASA website only through the portal. Only registered candidates will be considered for admission under DASA scheme.
Eligibility for UG, PG courses
For UG Courses: As per 2024 UG Handbook, candidates who have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent qualifying examination from any system of education recognized by the Association of Indian Universities are eligible to apply. Applicants must have passed (CGPA 7.5 out of 10) with 75% marks in Mathematics, Physics and 12th (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) as applicable in respective Boards. They should have valid JEE Main Rank.

For PG Courses: As per 2024 PG Brochure, applicants must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. four/five year graduate program in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./. M.Des./ MURP and equivalent for MBA program from any stream of education recognized by Union of Indian Universities/ UGC/ AICTE/ other statutory bodies as appropriate by appropriate UG degree. In addition, applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.00 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying examination. Some M.Tech. Programs have specific eligibility requirements, which are listed on the DASA website.
Candidates willing to apply under this scheme for PG courses should have a valid minimum 300 GRE Revised General Examination score (Verbal + Quantitative for eligibility for M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan./ M.Des). and a minimum GMAT test score of 480 for the MBA program.

About the counseling process
For UG Courses: Seat allotment will be based on the JEE (Main) Rank and the choices given by the applicant in the order of their merit and preference.
For PG Courses: Seat allotment will be based on valid GMAT/GRE test scores and choices given by the applicant in order of their merit and preference.
