Highlighting how youth power has played an important role in the country’s progress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the world looked to India with hope and expectation because of the youth power that drives new revolutions.
From the freedom struggle to the movements of the 21st century, Indian youth have contributed to every revolution, the Prime Minister said while attending Veer Bal Diwas in New Delhi.
Emphasizing that the government’s biggest policy focus is youth empowerment, he said, βAll policies, be it the start-up ecosystem, the future of the space economy, the sports and fitness sector, fintech and the manufacturing industry, or skill development and internship schemes, are youth-centric and It is intended to benefit the youth.
He pointed out the need to make the youth future-oriented, keeping in mind the shift from traditional software to AI and the rise of machine learning.
The Prime Minister launched the ‘Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan’, which aims to improve nutrition outcomes and well-being by strengthening the implementation of nutrition-related services to eradicate malnutrition and lay the foundation for a developed India.
A total of 1,000 Gram Panchayats will receive Rs 1 lakh and a part of the amount will be used for good nutrition in the Anganwadis.
Modi also felicitated 17 children who were honored with the Veer Bal Award.
Recalling the sacrifices of Bahadur Sahibzada Sahib Zorawar Singh and Sahib Fateh Singh, the Prime Minister said that more than three centuries ago they sacrificed their lives and rejected all temptations of the Mughal Sultanate, enduring all atrocities and choosing to embrace the death penalty ordered by the Wazir. “This year’s Veer Bal Divas is even more special as it marks the 75th year of the founding of the Republic of India and our Constitution,” the Prime Minister said, adding, “Every citizen is taking inspiration from the brave Sahibzadas.” “The Constitution teaches us that no one is too small or too big in the country,” Modi said, adding that the principle was in line with the teachings of the Gurus.
