Congress to undertake major organizational restructuring: KC Venugopal

AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal said in Belagavi on Thursday that the members of the extended Congress Working Committee meeting in Belagavi not only examined the current problems facing the country but also the question of restructuring the party organization.

“Next year will be a year of major organizational reform. Accountability of leaders at all levels will be checked. There will be a deep investigation into the capabilities of all leaders. Appropriate action will be taken,’ he said.

Congress is going to carry out a mass campaign of ‘Jai Bapu Jai Bhim, Jai Samvadhan’. It will be held from December 27, 2024 to January 26, 2025. It will include marches, seminars, workshops for workers, public meetings and rallies. The campaign will start immediately at the village, block, district and state levels. It will be led by national provincial, district and local leaders.

The next rally – Savdhan Bachao Rashtriya Padayatra – will be taken out from January 26, 2025 to January 26, 2026. It will be a relay rally. Mr. Venugopal said that one of the major announcements was to host the AICC delegation at Porbandar in Gujarat, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi.
