Coke Studio Tamil concluded its vibrant Season 2 by celebrating the richness of Tamil music, language and heritage, leaving a lasting impression. Season 2 features eight mesmerizing tracks that have collectively garnered over 50 million views, building on the legacy of Season 1. With over 15 tracks in both seasons, the journey is far reaching. Fans can look forward to more talented artists and new tracks as the series moves forward into a new chapter.
This season’s best tracks are included oh yesA tribute to the harmonious coexistence of diverse cultures; Ile Makkaha high-energy fusion of genres and languages; and Nammalewhich captured the ups and downs of friendship and togetherness. Each track reflected the platform’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity, creating a musical space that resonated globally.
Curated by Sean Roldan, Season 2 featured a stellar lineup of actors including Aditi Rao Hydari, Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Sanjay Subrahmanyan, Arunraj Kamaraj, Arivu, Benny Dayal, Girish G, Navaj-47, and Vidya Vox. It also gave rise to less heard voices like the Irula tribe and the Mullai Kalai Kuzhu. Traditional Tamil instruments such as mridangam, veena and salangai blended seamlessly with contemporary styles, paying tribute to Tamil music and introducing it to a wider audience.
