The Delhi High Court has directed a consortium of national law universities to revise the results of the Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) 2025 after changing the award of marks for two questions, Bar and Bench reported.
According to the report, Justice Jyoti Singh has instructed the association to correct the questions of set ‘A’ of the examination paper to 14 and 100.

A candidate filed a petition challenging the answers to five questions. The court found the errors in questions 14 and 100 to be “demonstrably clear.”

“…turning a blind eye to it would be unfair to the petitioner, although this court is aware of the fact that it may affect the results of other candidates,” the court said.
As per live law, the court held that option C of question number 14 in set A is the correct answer and directed the consortium to modify the petitioner’s result and extend the benefit to all candidates who opted for option C.

The court said that according to the advice of the expert committee, question number 100 will be removed and the result will be modified accordingly.
CLAT 2025, the entrance test for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in national law universities, was held on December 1, 2024 in one shift, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The examination was conducted at 141 centers in 25 states and 4 union territories across India.
The results were also declared earlier this month.
According to the counseling schedule, the first merit list will be published on December 26.
