Chittoor Police received the ABCD award in Vijayawada

DGP is Tirumala Rao of Dwarka presenting the ABCD award to Chittoor Superintendent of Police VN Manikanth Chandolu in Vijayawada on Wednesday.

Chittoor District Police has been honored with the prestigious ABCD (Award for Best Crime Detection) Award, conferred by the Andhra Pradesh State Police Department, in recognition of their exemplary crime investigation efforts.

Chittoor Sub-Division, West Circle Police has successfully nabbed an inter-state suspect involved in the ATM theft that took place on July 7 in Gudipala mandal of Chittoor district. They arrested the person involved in ATM theft and won a cash reward of one lakh rupees.

The awards were presented at the DGP office in Vijayawada under the chairmanship of DGP Chaudhary. Tirumala Rao of Dwarka, along with senior officers, Chittoor Superintendent of Police VN Manikanth Chandolu and police personnel and technical staff of West Circle Police.

The DGP lauded the Chittoor District Police for their speedy collection of case details and vital evidence in addition to effective deployment of technology.
