BRS faulted the government for prioritizing the debate on tourism policy over the issue of Lagcherla farmers

Hyderabad

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has criticized the government for ignoring the most important issue of Lagcherla farmers by not finalizing the work of the convention for short discussion on the new tourism policy even though it did not go beyond the minister’s statement. Business Advisory Committee Meeting.

Speaking at the media point in the Assembly premises on Monday, BRS MLAs Padi Kaushik Reddy and K. Sanjay explores the illegal arrest of Lagcherla farmers as more important than tourism policy and what sin the farmers committed. He was kept in jail for more than a month.

The provincial government has insulted the entire farming community by handcuffing farmer Hiriya Naik to the hospital after he complained of chest pain (heart attack). They allege that the farmers of Lagcherla and the discussion of land acquisition are timely as the land acquisition is being done to benefit the Chief Minister’s son-in-law Gautam Adani and his brothers instead of tourism.

They also mocked the government’s repeated claims on state government liabilities that the Reserve Bank of India’s latest report, Statistical Handbook of Indian States 2023-24, put the total debt at Rs 3.17 lakh crore against claims. Deputy Chief Minister M. Bhatti Vikramarka said that it is more than 7 lakh crore rupees. The party will move a privilege motion against Mr Wickremarka for allegedly misleading the House on the issue, they said.

BRS members S. Madhusudan Chari, S. Vanidevi and others also raised the issue of Lagcherla farmers in the council. Speaking later, they said that they will raise this issue on Tuesday as well.

Party MLAs G Jagadish Reddy, KP Vivekananda and K. Sanjay remarked that even after a year of the government being in power, people’s issues are still being discussed in the assembly. The question raised by the party on the belt shops was deliberately shelved by the government as their numbers grew uncontrollably across the state after the Congress came to power.

Later MLA P. Savita Indra Reddy and Kova Lakshmi also alleged that the government deliberately postponed the issue raised by them on zero enrollment schools (1,913) and falsely claimed that the previous government (BRS) had closed 6,000 schools. State. Instead, they said that the current government is planning to close 4,000 schools, and this year school enrollment has decreased by 2 lakh.
