Bengaluru police have arrested 34-year-old technician Atul Subhash’s wife Nikita Singhania, his mother Nisha Singhania and brother Anurag on charges of abetting suicide.

34-year-old technician Atul Subhash’s wife Nikita Singhania, his mother Nisha Singhania and brother Anurag have been arrested on charges of abetting suicide.
Nikita was arrested from Gurugram while Nisha and Anurag Singhania were arrested from Allahabad.
This happened after Subhash committed suicide and Nikita and his family accused him of harassment and coercion.
Meanwhile, Singhania has been produced in court and remanded in judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.
Earlier on Friday, Bengaluru police had said that two teams have been formed to investigate based on the case registered by Atul Subhash’s mother.
“A case has already been registered and two teams have been formed. Based on her brother’s complaint, a case has been registered and investigations are underway. We are gathering evidence. We will ensure justice,” said Bengaluru Police Commissioner, B. Dayanand, quoted by news agency ANI.
In the wake of the recent tragic incident of the Bengaluru techie, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking reform of domestic violence laws and curbing their misuse in such cases.
Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old deputy manager of a private firm in Bengaluru, committed suicide in his apartment. He left a 24-page suicide note and accused his wife and her family of harassment and extortion. He also alleged that a woman judge demanded Rs 5 lakh to ‘settle’ the case.
